Erasmus Blended Intensive Programme

The AIN+ Erasmus BIP aims to provide the basics for all musicians interested in taking their first steps into the world of electronic and augmented musical instruments.
This research is being developed by the electronic music department of the Cagliari Conservatory.
The augumented musical instrument of reference will be CLAVIUS designed and created by Professor Daniele Ledda. See more about CLAVIUS here.
With us will be the luthier from the Stradivari Institute Gabriele Orlando.

The AIN+ Erasmus BIP is scheduled to be held at the Conservatory in the third week of July, from Monday 14 to Friday 19, according to this programme:
VIRTUAL COMPONENT
Online meeting I
Wednesday 4th June (can be changed according to participants' availability)
- Presentation of the project, institutions involved and key persons.
Online meeting II
Saturday 5th July (can be changed according to participants' availability)
- Information on the definitive programme for the 5 days.
- Organisation check and advice for the journey and the stay in Sardinia.
PHYSICAL MOBILITY
DAY I
Monday 14 July 2025 : Welcome to the Conservatory.
- Historical background, listening and analysis of augmented and hyper-instruments.
- Practice on media and instruments provided by the Electronic Music department.

DAY II /III
Tuesday 15 - Wednesday 16 July 2025
Session 1 and 2 of:
- Practical activity on instruments and supports preconstructed by the Electronic Music Department.
- Coaching with external expert on fundamentals of construction and lutherie.
- Soldering and implementation of electronic boards and devices.
DAY IV
Thursday 17 July 2025
- Relevant software and dialogue of the physical instrument with electronics and digital systems.
- Drawing and design of an augmented instrument.
